POST-PROCEDURE RECOMMENDATIONS
The radiation dose received during the study is low and does not represent a significant risk to others. However, the following recommendations should be followed:
- For the next 12 hours, avoid prolonged close contact (less than 1 meter) with pregnant women and children under 15 years of age.
- The radiopharmaceutical is mainly eliminated through urine; therefore, adequate hydration is recommended unless you have fluid restrictions due to conditions such as chronic kidney disease, dialysis, or heart disease.
- If you are breastfeeding, suspend breastfeeding for 24 hours after the examination.
- If you temporarily discontinued any medications, restart them as instructed by your physician.
This study is considered safe and is not associated with life-threatening adverse reactions. If you experience symptoms that concern you after leaving the institution, contact your healthcare provider or seek medical attention.
